About
A small studio with a big press bill.
Mara Sandor founded the studio in København in 2019, after six years at agencies in Milan and a year setting books she could not afford to print.
The practice is deliberately small — two people, one long-standing production partner, and a rule against taking more than four identity projects a year. Everything is designed to be made: if it cannot survive a press check, it does not leave the studio.
She teaches typography one semester a year at KADK and has served on the DDC jury since 2024.

2019
Studio opens above a bike shop in Vesterbro. First client pays in bread.
2021
Terrazzo Press book series. First DDC award. Second person joins.
2023
Move to Gammel Kongevej. Solen and Glasshouse arrive in the same month.
2026
Twelve projects in the drawer, four in production, one very tired press operator.
