A prize for buildings that let the weather in. The Glasshouse Prize rewards architecture that negotiates with climate instead of sealing it out — and its identity refuses climate control too: every printed piece is left outdoors for one night before it ships, and the weather's marks are part of the design.

No two invitations arrive identical; the yearbook's cover is blank board that fogs, spots and fades on its way to each juror.

The trophy follows the same rule inverted: a sealed glass void containing the air — humidity, pressure, temperature — of the winning building on the day it won.
