Book series — 2025

Client: Terrazzo Press · Role: Series design, typesetting, production · Output: Six volumes, slipcase, specimen booklet
Six volumes, set and imposed and checked on press. Terrazzo publishes essays on making — ceramics, joinery, letterpress — and the series design commits to the same discipline it documents: every spread was proofed on the paper it ships on, at the printer, with the author in the room.
The covers are literal terrazzo: offcuts of the five previous jackets, chipped and scattered into the sixth, so the series aggregates itself as it grows.

Inside, a two-column grid holds essays and process photography apart until the final signature of each book, where the columns merge and text runs over the images — the argument and the evidence finally in the same place.
"The rare series design that survives contact with a printing press." — production director
