Tidewrack
Coastal trust — 2024

Client: Tidewrack Coastal Trust · Role: Identity, signage, annual report · Output: Identity system, coastal signage, report
Identity for a shoreline that moves every winter. The trust protects a stretch of coast that redraws itself each storm season, so a fixed logo would be a lie; instead the mark is a rule — the current year's surveyed coastline, redrawn annually from the trust's own data and stamped with the survey date.
Signage along the coast is set on posts driven at the previous year's waterline, so walking the path you read the land's retreat in the distance between sign and sea.

The annual report binds all marks to date: fifteen years of coastlines overlaid in thinning inks, the newest line always full black.
"The only rebrand that happens by erosion." — trust director
